Here I give my unique wonders, the joys I derive from inside myself.
Welcome to my website! I, known online only as Buccaneer Blue, write Pirates of the Caribbean-themed song parodies. I am also well versed in giving general song parodying advice and naming songs that suit things in Pirates just the way they are.
In some ways this is a very simple site. All the primary navigation could just be condensed into a simple set of links suitable to put at the top of every page. There are lots of things going on in this basic system, however. I have hundreds of the aforementioned parodies, as well as pages for the original songs and albums to explain why they were chosen. If you are the right reader, I can make you laugh a lot and teach you a lot. Also present is the story of how I figured out what I wanted my parodies to be. The short version is below.
You can read about many of the artists I have parodied songs by and why I found their works useful on the main subjects page for the site.
Another note: Rarely, bits of my plans can be hidden in the code of my pages, ready for the code to come into play later. Until then, a gap appears in its place, and the secret can only be revealed by viewing the source for the page. Below is an example of hidden content.
Introducing LEGO Pirates! They are here to break the bricks of certain barnacled sailors, because Buccaneer Blue hates them, and they write song parodies about doing that! Better give Blue the help in having more to like about these early Styx songs, too, because it turns out the instrument of the enemy, the pipe organ, appears in some of them! It is music warring! An incursion of they instrument played by those dreadful tentacles that must . . .
Those responsible for making song parodying warlike have been sacked. The songs have been revisited for parodying in an entirely different style that focuses on the official Pirates canon.
But every franchise has its limits. So, eventually, I got material from a completely different source: the card game series Aeon’s End. Just so you know.
This will be a field for making any page (except the page an individual song or parody, which might not get much recognition or interest on its own) a front page feature for a brief time. It will be launched once I have more pages.
