Assessment of suitability for parodying
One may find really good fodder here. The songs are not too complicated, though the numerous modern, specific things can cause struggles - it comes out from how the doorbell in Lights reduced me to breaking out of the world and mentioning that pirates do not have doorbells - but overall I think I did a pretty good job. I am not sure I would recommend this one to a parodying newbie, but having lots of fun making it plenty funny is perfectly possible.
The parodies

Never Say Never . . . Better Say Never
Boat on a River . . . Apple Delivery
Borrowed Time . . . Heartless Blight
