Assessment of suitability for parodying

Fortunately for parodists, Green Day has clearly gone in the opposite direction from 21st Century Breakdown. Songs are very short, making them easy to memorize, and not a ton of polysyllabic words are used. The subjects of the songs are not all clear-cut, but at least they are not trying to add up to a murky story. All in all, it is simple enough that it could be mistaken for an early work by its artist.
