Assessment of suitability for parodying
It is a concept album, but only loosely so. The songs are tied together mainly by the 1 minute songs at either end of the album, A.D. 1928 and A.D. 1958, respectively, and I am here to tell you that with just a handful of lyrics about the Paradise each, they do NOT help a parodist. You will not find them in the list below. They are not there for a reason. All the full-length songs are here, but you will have to see their individual pages to learn how challenging they are, which is to say a bit challenging to be sure.
The parodies
Rockin’ the Paradise . . . Off to Paradise
Too Much Time On My Hands . . . Too Much Brine On His Hands
Nothing Ever Goes As Planned . . . No Film Ever Goes As Planned
Best of Times . . . Worst of Times
Lonely People . . . Lowly Creatures
She Cares . . . Nobody Cares
Snowblind . . . Go Blind
Half-Penny, Two-Penny . . . Half Fishy, Too Fishy
Behind the scenes
- I wrote the parody album in December 2015.
- I like to call the parody album Parodist Theater.
- This was the first parody album from which I omitted songs strictly for not being well suited (see the assessment above the track listing).
- Remarks about my creativity with this album are found in Album Story 11: Loose Concept.
