Assessment of suitability for parodying

In terms of subject, I put Styx songs into two broad categories - typical subjects such as love songs, and songs about things they had never sung about before and would never sing about again. Everything on this album seems to fall in the latter category. It is not too complicated, but not much for convention either. As such, it largely comes down to how well it suits the niche of the parodist.

As for me, working under the theme of Pirates of the Caribbean, this album generally worked out - which, given its title, is not altogether surprising.
