Here is how the character in question turned out coming through me. He has had much fewer words than some characters - actually, caricatures - but I say it just goes to show that unlike them, he knows when to stop.
I admit that the way I write him is probably not what Disney had in mind. But going a bit in the opposite direction from said caricatures certainly seemed like a worthy cause.
None have it easy. Few get along. But the rest of us - me, these pirates, this Buccaneer Blue, this Bootstrap Bill - are all out from dealing with this squared-off lot we hated. At least we can all agree on that.
I saw what the pirates did with all those songs. I was given a chance to do it myself, being offered songs I could relate to. The result had to be quality, and Lego was not to be spoken of. Sounded reasonable.
Well she calls me so sick, misshapen by what now happens. (Meaning, people call you what they call you. There is no point in misinterpreting it.)
