Styx parody lyrics
Better Say Never
For use with Never Say Never
(What does the markup on these lyrics mean?)
Better, better, better say never
Will we fail-to save-the (day)
Everybody better believe it forever
For it shall be that way
I think they should not do love again
Will and Eliz - abeth spend years apart
And don’t even remind me of Jones’ heart
It’s never going to work with them
Soak - ing in too much brine are these mean things
Who-are sure my soul their hands’ll be on
But give me a chance to prove them wrong
We better say never again
Take time to smell the roses
Take baths for far cries from
The aquatic stench, the aquatic stench
Better, better believe it forever, won’t you?
Ever since his stand with his heart in his hand
He has been mak - ing mistakes every - where
He has always been worn out total - ly in the head
Even (if) I’ve never used these (exact) words before
Behind the scenes
- The first version of this parody was written in early 2014 as part of the parody album of Cornerstone.
- Like many of my parodies from that time, this parody warranted editing, which I did in June 2017, to make it publishable. The problems in this case were insults, fan fiction, and unnecessary changing of the
heart in my hand
line.
