Styx parody lyrics
Hassle Falls
For use with Castle Walls
(What does the markup on these lyrics mean?)
It’s a human’s dream
If this hassle falls
Down in the bay be - low
The fort wall
I kept alone and the en - em - ies gone
So they can’t ruin our souls
Or what ever you call, human - ity at least
Playing my part to stay (a) normal being
See - ing the heart of the impossible seeming
I knew we’d all be wondering
We (are making) sure this hassle falls
We’re not gonna be blown into the sky
(Cannot) have to see them (look) like hell
And blow the veins in our eyes
We (are making) sure this hassle falls
Here my lot turned enemies away
Life is better once it’s free
And every one must meet this destiny
Behind the scenes
- The first version of this parody was written shortly after the beginning of 2014 as part of the parody album of The Grand Illusion.
- This parody was tweaked in June 2017 for three reasons. First was the use of the word species, which is too scientific and modern for when the setting is supposed to be. Second was the reference to
my poor dad who I am always avenging,
a vague implication that Will Turner was supposed to be the one singing the song that I ultimately decided was not very well done nor necessary anyway. Finally, there was violence and death in the original version of the parody.
