Gin Blossoms parody lyrics
Hideous Creature
For use with Mrs. Rita
(What does the markup on these lyrics mean?)
As I am writing in neat letters on the paper with the pen
He could-not possibly be stranger, you think he’s coming round again
Such a hideous creature, what the hey, no body knows
But he could be answer - ing, why do lovers come and go
Is he coming round for me once again, around or was that just the end
I just hope he’s (not) coming round again
I’ve been keeping myself busy with my books and with my papers
Every day’s much better since I’ve slowed my drinking pace
There’s no sailing in the water, it’s just someplace we all drown
If not, I-do not follow, lost my comfort-with nonsense around
Is he coming round for me once again, around or was that just the end
I just hope he’s (not) coming round again
Go sail real far and find a town
Find a place to settle down
Set-sail only once he is out of sight
What I-prefer
I patiently wait for his-leave, my high hopes are of him-gone
He never gets me shaking, I wish he would just move on
