Styx parody lyrics
Love’s Worst Blight
For use with Love at First Sight
(What does the markup on these lyrics mean?)
Railing against the curse again
I feel the same way I did then
A - bout the sea devil in blue
It all began so crazily
With a lit - er - al heart giv - ing
My eyes called it horror not frightening
Do not like strange cause for a mutant
Oh my eyes
But this is not-scary, it is just disgust - ingLove - s worst blight
I know that this can’t be happening
No, cannot be such-a thing living
Love - s worst blight
Not scared, and why the-fighting?
I only hope that love is kept in checkNo good man who acts this way
But mainly he can maybe-make
Home is where the heart is
literally true
Gives the motto a meaning of his own
Can literally leave his heart at home
And my heart is leaving when (I) leave, too
It was a fright being cursed in the moonlight
And becoming skeletons, but this is not-scary
This curse is just disgusting
Love - s worst blight
I know that this can’t be happening
No, cannot be such-a thing living
Love - s worst blight
It’s hard to keep your romance
Going past the point of no return
If you need some time
To work-on your feelings
If you need some time away
I’ll be saying to you
Watch your heart and love
Twas a fright
Turning to skeletons in the moonlight
Twas not like
This curse not scary, it is only disgust - ing
Behind the scenes
- Originally written in September 2014 for the parodies of Edge of the Century.
- This was the first time the curse of the Aztec gold was mentioned in a parody of mine.
- The Green day song Jesus of Suburbia has a verse about the motto about home being where your heart is being a lie, and not all hearts beating the same. I drew inspiration from that, at this time, when it could serve to be my way of saying
Happy 10th anniversary to American Idiot!
