Styx parody lyrics
Stupidity Bar
For use with Superstars
(What does the markup on these lyrics mean?)
In my eyes
He is climbing so high
Raising the stupidity-bar
So (it) is to my eyes
They printed his ugly image on paper
You’ve seen him on the movie screen
He goes everywhere I do not want him-to be
Their great flight of fantasy
But don’t think I can’t hear notes falling
And rising too many times in-a row
Being an organist is a dream he had
But playing with short tentacles is all that he knows
We will just protect our eyes
And I will-save the fantasy
Stupidity-bar, yes, yes, stupidity-bar
Said right this way. Everyone offended?
Cannot politely put this.
I think them ridiculous tentacles
I hear he cries, then I see him claw
He is not really the sy - mp - athe - tic
Type that an - y man-wants
He is a fool
In my eyes
Such that I think him raising the stupidity-bar
Behind the scenes
- The first version of this parody was written in late November 2013 as part of the parody album of The Grand Illusion.
- However, like all the parodies I wrote that year, there were problems, and therefore, this page is an edited version written in June 2017. First, fan made names had to be removed. Second, the parody originally appeared in a comic strip, and therefore had a verse about
the cartoonist.
Also, the lyrics warranted being tamed down a little in general.
