Behind the scenes
- The original appearance of this work was in a comic I drew on Sunday, August 10, 2014, while the parodies for Styx II (like this one) were getting started.
- While working on the idea for this one, I realized that most of the parodies I had written to this point were either unnecessarily unpleasant, too topical to publish, or both. (For example, if I had not changed my ways while doing this song, the result probably would have been called
Bother
and/or made references to previous comics I had drawn for my friends.) Therefore, this work is not designed to necessarily be funny so much as to turn over a new leaf. It is a milestone - from now on, all my parodying was to conform to my current rules.
