As my site is one that nobody but myself can contribute to, and is as simple as most websites get, there is little you need to consent to by using it. No part of the site requires you to fill any kind of form. The only way it provides for you to communicate with me is the standard contact page many websites feature, and if you do email me, you need only tell me as much information about anything as you are willing to.
Should you contact me, I will not rent or sell any information of any sort you give me, nor will I give it to others to sell you anything. I will use it to figure out how to make my site more engaging and accessible, to see which ideas work, and to make reading more fun. Put simply, what you email me, I use to make my site better for you.
Because of how browsers work, visiting any website will automatically transmit some information, such as your IP address, the type of device you are using, the type and version of your browser, your browser’s language preference, the type and version of your device’s operating system, and which pages you visit.
I do not actively collect information on visitors. In other words, I do not use technologies such as tracking pixels, JavaScript, or cookies.
I share your information for a particular purpose, if you email me a request that I do so.
I will use, preserve, and/or disclose what I know about you if I reasonably believe it necessary to satisfy a valid and legally enforceable law, regulation, or order. However, if I believe that a request for disclosure of your information is legally invalid or misuses the legal system, I will decline, explaining why. I am committed to notifying you via email as many calendar days as I can, if possible, before disclosing information about you in response to a legal demand. However, this can only happen if no legal restraints keep me from doing so, disclosing the request does not create or increase any credible threat to life or limb, and you have given me your email address.
I may need to share what I know about you if it is reasonably believed to be necessary to enforce or investigate potential violations of my Terms of Use, this Privacy Policy, or any other policy. I may also need to access and share information to investigate and defend myself against legal threats or actions.
I hope this never comes up, but I may disclose what I know about you if I believe that’s reasonable to protect a person, organization, or the public. If you may cause spam, malware, fraud, abuse, unlawful activity, or security or technical concerns, someone might hear about you for that as well.
I am strongly committed to not sharing non-public or personal information with third parties. In particular, I do not allow tracking by third-party websites you have not visited (e.g. those who analyze or advertise, or social platforms), nor do I tell any third parties about you for marketing purposes. (So, for example, in no way should reading the Wheel in the Sky page result in anyone advertising Journey albums to you.) I may share your information only in the situations explained above under When may I share your information.
Because things naturally change over time and I want to ensure my Privacy Policy accurately reflects my practices and the law, this Privacy Policy may be modified from time to time. At any time, using this site constitutes acceptance of whatever is the most recent version of this Privacy Policy on your part.
If you have any questions or suggestions about this Privacy Policy or the information collected under it, please see the Contact Buccaneer Blue
link provided at the bottom of every page on the site.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority competent for your country or region if your jurisdiction allows.
Thank you for taking the time to read this Privacy Policy. I hope you enjoy reading my site.
