Assessment of suitability for parodying

General

This song seems unlikely to be anyone’s 5-fodder, and could even be mistaken for a 1-fodder. Yes, it is short, with a six-line chorus and just three other verses, four lines each, but the content is pretty tough with all the polysyllabic words. Really, it is like 21st Century Breakdown material in the template of a conventional song, not even close to the level of suitability for parodying you can get even elsewhere in the album. But it can have its uses when you want to be critical.

Black Pearl crew-specific

I call this good, not great, fodder. Pirates often suit protest songs, but this is a pretty specific message with some pretty specific terms.

Behind the scenes

Caribbean Idiot was actually my second parody of the song. The first is not on this site, because, well, let me just say the title alone made it clear you would have to know me to know what the parody was about.
