The song is reasonably broadly applicable. Almost everything it says would have made sense centuries ago. Probably the biggest problem is the difficulty in rhyming the title.
I contend that songs that could take place just about anywhere, at any time, are perhaps the best kind when it comes to parodying. This is especially important considering my use of old fashioned characters. They took gladly to lyrics that spoke of those not wanting others to be free and other controversial things without any particular countries or levels of technology being mentioned.
