Back to Chicago
Parody: Back to Tortuga
Artist: Styx
Album: Edge of the Century
Track number on album: 10
Duration: 4:19
Fodder rating (out of 5): 4
While this song is far from impossible to work with, it does feature some very specific things. As you can see below, if there were 10-fodder songs, it is doubtful this would be one of them.
Pirates could certainly return to a known place and walk on a beach, brought back by love (even if it is not love of a person, like in the original song). Unfortunately for 18th-century characters, it starts out with a flight being canceled and a call on the telephone, and it is about a city of modern times. Its relevance to the Crew is therefore hit and miss, though with wonderful opportunity to tell a more pleasant story than usual. All in all, fair to good fodder.
