Assessment of suitability for parodying

General

There are clearly easy songs to parody, like In Your Letter. There are songs that appear a nightmare for the parodist, like many of those from 21st Century Breakdown. Finally, there are songs that are not clearly one or the other, like this one. It is reasonably conventional, but not entirely basic, with several verses of different words and a small number of big words. I predict significant differences of opinion. Some parodists will find it perfect, others will say it has little of note beyond the occasional difficult bit.

Black Pearl crew-specific

This song really served me quite well, all things considered, with parts of it being relevant as they were while others warranted being turned on their heads. (Of course, the latter meant it could not be a 5-fodder rating.)

Behind the scenes

I worked with turning this song into its direct opposite twice. The first time, I took it too far and did not end up being evocative of positive emotions.
