Assessment of suitability for parodying

General

This is one of the more conventional, and therefore easier, songs on the album. There are not too many lyrics to worry about. It tells a reasonably self-explanatory story that does have its share of polysyllabic words, but they do not create too much restriction. It can be great to work with.

Black Pearl crew-specific

When the Crew came around to the song, I had tried it before and knew I could do a better job this time. That was one of the first delights - and then it is about wanting to be free, which could easily be 4-fodder even if significantly counterweighted - which it was not particularly, being such a prominent feature. The Crew were hooked.

Behind the scenes

As noted above, it took me some work to figure out the best parody for the song. I first came up with Die Time, then Bye Time and finally determined My Time made the most sense.
