General

Every parodist is sure to have an opinion on this song. Its vocabulary and length give the impression that it is awful to attempt, and I am sure that for some of you it is. It is undoubtedly hard, with so many lyrics and all, but I have to make the observation that the lyrics in themselves are mostly easy compared to the sorts of things that appeared in 21st Century Breakdown.

Oh my, what a wonderful description of how these inhabitants of the world are. First thing pointed out is My heart is beating from me, there is dreaming going on, perhaps too much for the authorities, there is a bay, someone goes off in his own world, there is wanting to be free, some sorts are liked by nobody, leading others to leave and have fun as pirates might, and treasures are borne.
