A pretty easy song to memorize, featuring the theme of love that is so common in music, but the title reflects drawing on somewhere to do (at least formerly) with Spain and therefore having an unusually developed sense of place for a song. So it is sort of conventional and sort of not.
Only about marginally workable (thanks mostly to him loving the girl and being in a troubled world), but there was plenty of room for the Crew to insert their own story, and they liked being able to build the world a lot.
