Assessment of suitability for parodying

General

This is a classic example of a song that would be unworkable without having something it reminds you of, but if you have that, it can be very good.

Black Pearl crew-specific

Of the two songs about dysfunctional relationships on American Idiot, the Crew prefer Extraordinary Girl, but this one is good fodder too. Many polysyllabic and/or specifically modern words appear, but the premise had some connections to make, such as the rage and love, which made parodying it easier and more fun.

Behind the scenes

I actually parodied this song twice. My first attempt, Brain Was Gone, I simply did not feel suited the site.
