Assessment of suitability for parodying

General

Not exactly an easy song, as there are a lot of lyrics, including some difficulty rhyming in several places. It could have been mistaken for a 1-fodder song. Then again, that can provide plenty for an experienced parodist to work with, and being grateful for being helped to escape has to be relevant to some characters. Thus, the song is potential fun . . . mostly.

Black Pearl crew-specific

This one, like fellow Kilroy Was Here song High Time, involves escaping, which pirates are known for. It does not describe them quite as perfectly as High Time, but it was still lots of fun. The parody managed to stay similar to the original song throughout.

Behind the scenes

Mr. Sparrow was actually my third parody of this song. The first two resorted to making up names, first Mr. Barnacle and then Mr. Tentacles, which eventually lead me to reject my own work.
