Sing to Me
Parody: Evening at Sea
Artist: REO Speedwagon
Album: You Can Tune a Piano, But You Can’t Tuna Fish
Track number on album: 5
Duration: 2:34
Fodder rating (out of 5): 3
A simple song, but it suffers from being nonsensical. A 5-fodder rating therefore seems unlikely.
On the plus side, the song mentions going to sea. On the minus side, the song starts with summer giving way to winter, and there is snow and frozen stuff, none of which happens in the Caribbean. And the parts of the lyrics do not all add up. I call this good-not-great fodder.
Evening at Sea
was actually my second parody of this song. The first, Don’t Show Anything to Me,
was needlessly unpleasant.
